MELANEY HENDERSON

My name is Melaney Henderson and I am a Master's student at National University. I started my practicum in July 2023. I am currently studying Marriage & Family Therapy with a specialization in military families. As a military spouse, I have a well-developed interest in this particular culture. Additionally, I have a strong interest in neurodiverse families due to my experience as an ABA therapist prior to Thrive.

I am originally from Georgia, where I attended my undergrad at Georgia Southern University. The military then took us to Texas and now to North Carolina. Methods of therapy I prefer include Solution Focused Therapy and Bowenian Family Therapy. As a future family therapist, I look at issues through a systemic lens to help clients find solutions and gain greater understanding of their world.
