Kristen is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a National Board Certified Counselor. She received her Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She completed her practicum and internship at Methodist University at the Center for Personal Development, in which she gained experience working with men and women ages 18 and up in both the individual and group setting.


Kristen takes a strengths-based approach to counseling, utilizing Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, EMDR, and other evidence-based approaches to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for the client. Kristen's specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, life transitions, self-worth/confidence, marriage/couples counseling, career/education counseling, self-harm, suicide, and addiction. As your therapist, Kristen ensures that you are not alone on your journey of self-discovery and growth, helping you find your own strength so that you are able to create substantial change in your life.
